ABOUT

Canadian Folk Music Awards recipient Geneviève Racette captivates listeners with her gentle interpretations. Renowned on the international folk scene, she collaborated on stage and in the studio with City and Colour, received praise from Tom Paxton (recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award), and accumulated over 4 million streams and numerous media appearances (Rolling Stone, CBC, Entertainment Tonight, etc.). Over the past two years, Geneviève has headlined over a hundred venues across Canada and the United States. Partly written in Nashville, her new album "Golden" transcends the artist's personal trials, offering a path to healing through music. In the midst of a period of turmoil, this album becomes her refuge, where she transforms her grief into something beautiful and deeply comforting, as illustrated in the eponymous song. Universal themes such as friendship, resilience, healing, sobriety and personal transformation are explored. Accompanied by her guitar and all-female band made up of musicians Judith Little Daudelin (percussion, voice) and Eleonore Pitre (electric guitar), the Montreal-based artist is now exporting her music across North America and beyond.

Gaud is a music and art project from New England with a focus on storytelling through song. Formed in New Hampshire in 2020 they released their first EP 2 years later called “Gold Mine”. Three songs that are but a section of a longer story that will be complete with the release of their full length “The Singer” that will come out later this year along with visual art to help inform this tender and tragic tale.

Gaud’s focus is strong on their craft. An intense desire to explore melody and how it ties us to who we are and how we feel as humans.
